Re: It's not brain surgery...
Mon, June 13, 2005 - 9:54 AMheh... I'll never forget it.. I come out of surgery and my dad says to me, we'll it's been proven and visualised, you have a brain. My reply... "Fuck you dad" Ya, I was still very groggy from the anesthesia, plus I had just vomited and my nose was stuffed with gauze.
It was the only time in my life where I could curse at him and his only valid reply was to smile. -

Re: It's not brain surgery...
Tue, June 14, 2005 - 10:05 AMYep... Diagnosed in London, treated by a private endocrinologist there, who put me on a medication which was contraindicated for that specific tumor here in the US (Yet at the time he said it was the standard treatment in Britan). Plus the tumor grew while on this medication and I was taking about 5 times normal dose. Finally my mom had had enough and flew me to San Francisco. We met with the head of Neurosurgery at the time Dr. Wilson. One week later I was under the knife (Or 1/2" spade drill bit if you prefer). Three days after surgery I left the hospital. Two weeks later I was on a plane flying back to college in upstate New York. Ever since then life has been good. :-)
And yes I am leaving details out, this is a public forum. :-)
